THE GROUP CHAT IS WAITING.
Turn a reaction photo into a speech bubbling meme. A blank, full-width bubble curves across the top, with a pointed tail leading into the image.
FROM PICTURE TO PUNCHLINE
Start with the sample. Make it yours.
Upload a photo or try the sample. A blank cropped bubble appears across the top of the image.
Drag the bottom arc up or down and point the tail left or right. Keep the bubble empty, or add optional text.
Download a PNG, or choose GIF to animate the bubble. Size presets help you fit your image to its destination.
Photos up to 25 MB. Images wider or taller than 2400 px are resized on import. A larger export keeps lettering sharp, but cannot restore detail missing from your photo.
A STARTING POINT WITH A PURPOSE
A blank bubble runs across the top of your image, with only its shallow bottom arc and pointed tail showing. Drag the arc vertically to change how much of the picture it covers. Keep it empty for a reply meme, or add your own caption. Choose a light or dark fill, remove the border, or use an outline with a transparent fill.
Drafts are saved separately for each tool on this device. Moving between tools keeps their workspaces independent.
The meme format
A speech bubble reaction image often leaves the top bubble empty. Its tail points into the photo, making the character seem to react to a nearby message when you share it. The empty area is part of the joke; it does not need a caption.
This layout is different from a small dialogue balloon floating inside a picture. The meme preset puts a full-width bubble at the top edge, with a shallow curved bottom and one pointed tail. Upload an image, then adjust how much of the photo the top overlay covers.
For a character speaking a written line inside the photo, use the regular speech bubble maker. For a thinking bubble meme, a thought cloud template gives you the circle trail instead.
Discord workflow
A Discord speech bubble maker cannot control the chat app around the image. A fill that matches one background may show as a rectangle against another. Test the actual file in the intended light or dark setting.
Light & dark
Transparent fill affects the bubble itself. Transparent background affects the canvas color. Neither setting cuts out a person or removes the uploaded photo. For a standalone transparent speech bubble meme overlay, remove the photo and export PNG; then place that overlay in your other image editor.
| Appearance | Use it when | Check before sharing |
|---|---|---|
| Light fill | You want a white top area above the reaction | The white strip blends with the intended background. |
| Dark fill | You want a dark top area | The fill and any optional lettering have enough contrast. |
| Outline only | You want to see the image through the bubble | The outline stays visible over the photo. |
PNG & templates
PNG keeps transparency when it is enabled and preserves a clean outline. Save a project file as well if you want to swap the reaction image or adjust the bubble later; a finished PNG has no separate editable balloon.
Uploaded animated backgrounds are imported as a single still frame. To animate the speech bubble itself, open Export image, choose GIF and select an effect. You can control speed, play order and the pause at the end, then preview before downloading.
Reduce the top overlay height by dragging its bottom edge upward, or choose a photo with more room above the subject. Check the tail after changing the height.
If you add a caption, compare meme fonts and readable caption layouts before choosing your line breaks.
For separate blank shapes rather than a complete reaction image, browse the transparent speech bubble PNGs.
A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
